Dissemination of the PATH Support Fund 

Wednesday 9th May 2007, CoSLA Conference Centre, Edinburgh

This event presented the findings of the external evaluation of the PATH Support Fund, and also gave six of the individual projects the opportunity to discuss their work in more depth.  Around 50 delegates attended, drawn from the Scottish Executive, NHS Health Scotland, Keep Well projects and Smoking Cessation co-ordinators.

 

Tobacco Talking Back: A Joint Information Sharing Day - Tobacco & Inequalities and PATH Projects September 2005, Quality Hotel Glasgow

Thanks to everyone who attended this joint event. Around 70 delegates representing the PATH Funded Projects and the Tobacco and Inequalities pilot projects attended the event.

The day provided delegates an opportunity to present updates on pilot project activities and to exchange information and experiences about the project work they are currently involved in targeting tobacco and individuals experiencing health inequalities.

 

Tobacco Talks: An Information Exchange Gathering May 2004, Royal Society of Edinburgh

This one-day event brought together representatives from the three national tobacco pilot initiatives across Scotland, that are managed and/or funded through ASH Scotland, NHS Health Scotland and the Big Lottery Fund (formerly the Community Fund), to network and to discuss a range of themes and issues experienced by the projects.

  • The Buddy Project - offered one-to-one peer support to people trying to stop smoking in rural and/or deprived areas in Fife, Tayside and the Western Isles (ended March 2005)
  • External evaluation of the NHS Health Scotland / ASH Scotland young people and smoking cessation pilot programme - 8 pilot projects (ended June 2006)
  • PATH Support Fund Projects - 11 projects focusing on pregnant women and inequalities priority groups (ended October 2007)

National Support Fund 'Information Day' - May 2003, Renfield St Stephens Church, Glasgow.

This first event brought together members of the funded projects, the PATH team as well as representatives from the Advisory Panel, Support Fund Assessment Panel, and ASH Scotland. It gave an opportunity for representatives from many of the projects to give a presentation, briefly outlining their work over the next three years.
