The STCA stage a number of major event each year, usually as a partnership with key member organisations.

STCA Advocates and Member Representatives can put forward suggestions for activity or get involved in projects suggested by others through the STCA Activity Tracker

STCA members generally share information through STCA Topic Groups, which meet throughout the year.  Presentations are given by the membership or invited guest speakers and meetings are coordinated by group chairpersons and ASH Scoland staff.

31.08.10        Cogroup meeting.  10.00 - 13.00, ASH Scotland

09.09.10        Youth and Tobacco Forum.  13.30 - 16.30, Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh.  Exploring DECIPHer-ASSIST (formally known as ASSIST, A Stop Smoking In Schools Trial), a smoking prevention intervention which aims to reduce adolescent smoking prevalence.  Presented by Sally Good, General Manager, DECIPHer IMPACT, Cardiff.  Please register by contacting Jennifer Black, STCA Administrator or call 0131 220 9462

21.09.10        Tobacco Control Issues Group inspired event.  National Summit on Illicit Tobacco, Perth Concert Hall.  Exploring how the whole tobacco control community can work to reduce both the supply and demand for smuggled and counterfeit tobacco.  For further information click here.   Event invitation

28.09.10        Cessation in Pregnancy Group meeting. Venue and times to be confirmed

23.11.10        Scottish Smoking Cessation Conference.  Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh

30.11.10        Cogroup meeting.  14.00 - 16.30, ASH Scotland

December     Local Alliance Project event celebrating good work around Scotland

09.12.10        Youth and Tobacco Forum.  Venue and times to be confirmed.  Exploring smoking and transitions of 16 - 24 year olds in a range of training, workplace and further education settings amongst others.

17.02.11        Tobacco Control Issues Group/Cessation in Pregnancy Group.  Joint event focussing on smokefree environments

22.02.11        Cogroup meeting. 14.00 - 16.30, ASH Scotland

10.03.11        Youth and Tobacco Forum.  Date/venue/agenda to be confirmed.  Diana Martin (Youth and Tobacco Forum Chair) and Emma Cepok (Youth Development Officer) welcomes Forum members suggestions for all meetings throughout the year, therefore please email Emma or call 0131 220 9465 to discuss items for future agendas or work you would like to present on.

11.03.11        Research Group meeting.  13.00 - 16.00, Glasgow Caledonian University.  International focus - including research on the social, environmental and economic impact of tobacco company activity in developing countries

20.05.10        Research Group meeting,  13.00 - 16.00, University of Edinburgh.  Research student presentations (to include updates and new research)

31.05.11        Cogroup meeting.  14.00 - 16.30, ASH Scotland
