Cross Lanarkshire Action on Smoking in Pregnancy (CLASP)

Target Group:  Pregnant Women

Project Profile:
The project aimed to help determine if a social support model together with brief intervention increased access to smoking cessation services; improved long-term cessation rates; and enhanced health information for pregnant women and the wider community.  This service aimed to encourage the involvement of family members. Volunteer 'buddies' were trained to offer additional support to clients, if requested.
