Project Profile:
This intervention aimed to improve delivery of smoking cessation services to pregnant women, new mothers and their significant others in a range of health and community settings. Project midwives helped to enable fast access and early interventions and delivered systematic cessation training for community and midwifery staff. This project allowed for expansion of existing initiatives to create a cohort of experienced staff to provide a quality service to pregnant women.

In 2005, Stop For Life was voted the Best Smoking Cessation Project in the UK at the national QUIT awards.
