Case Studies

case study collage

ASH Scotland has collected a series of ‘stop smoking’ case studies, telling the stories of a range of individuals from a range of circumstances, and how they were able to kick the habit.

Many thanks are due to the individuals below for sharing their story with us, and giving us permission to reproduce it here. Thanks also to the smoking cessation professionals who enabled us to get in touch with the case studies.

Select the link below, or from the navigation bar to the left, to read the success stories of our four  case studies.

Anne Banks, Lothian, in her 40s, works at a hospital, smoked for 36 years
Bill McLean, Lothian, in his 60s, smoked up to 40-a-day
David Neilson, East Glasgow, in his 60s, no longer needs his walking stick
Leigh Black, in her 30s, recently had her 1st child, quit at the same time as her partner

For more information about our case studies, please contact the ASH Scotland Communications Officer on 0131 220 9468 or if out-of-hours: 07776 142 299.
