Taking action on smoking and health
STA membership is open to anyone engaged in supporting public health in Scotland. Members must be committed to reducing the harm caused by tobacco and must have no links to the tobacco industry or its vested interests. The STA actively encourages representation from community based organisations, debtadvisory services, colleges, youth organisations and those providing services and support to families in Scotland’s most deprived communities.
Members gain access to the best and latest information on tobacco issues in Scotland, discussions with colleagues from around the country and opportunities to influence tobacco control policy and practice.
Members are encouraged to seek the permission of their service or organisation to represent their interests at a national level through the STA and to offer material support to advance the aims of the STA.
