Taking action on smoking and health
Following the Scottish Government’s public advice on Monday 16th March, ASH Scotland staff members have begun working from home. This move has been taken so that we can do our part to ‘flatten the curve’, and delay the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
ASH Scotland will continue to operate our information service, and will run all our other work and engagement projects in as uninterrupted a fashion as possible – excluding taking part in face-to-face meetings and/or training. If you have a query for any of our staff or our information service, please email: email@example.com, rather than phoning our offices, and we will make sure to get back to you.
We want to take this opportunity to join our voice with that of the World Health Organization’s, and remind everyone to Be Safe, Be Smart, and Be Kind during these exceptional times. Make sure to take care of your general health by washing your hands regularly, eating healthy, staying active where you can, and not smoking. Be aware that smoking can worsen the impact of respiratory conditions and coronaviruses.
Be Safe: wash your hands regularly, and follow advice on social distancing
Be Smart: only share information from trusted sources, and keep informed about what is happening in your local area.
Be Kind: show compassion to others, practice self-care, and look out for the most vulnerable.
